A chicane is an
obstacle on a race course that slows the race car down. This area on a race
course is a typical point where racers battle for position. This ring is an
homage to that battle. Both photos above are the same ring although they may
not look like it. This ring is about 3/8" wide but snakes around your
finger to produce a much wider path. You'll think of the track every time
